The Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom condemns Israeli attack on Gaza

In the Name of God, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

The Prophet Muhammad (S) has said: “Those who have heard the cry of an oppressed person who calls out ‘Oh Muslims! If you hear me, please help me!’ and does not answer this call, is not a Muslim.”

Once again, the bloodthirsty and illegitimate Zionist regime has engaged itself in brutal and oppressive actions by murdering the helpless innocent people of Palestine. Every day we witness more and more tragedies and injuries upon the limbs of the Islamic world. The noble and fasting people of this land are targets of the Zionists’ cowardly attacks.

In Gaza, women and children are being slaughtered and their homes, mosques and hospitals are targeted. But those who claim to advocates of human rights do not say anything.

Instead of sorrow and regret over this great injustices being committed in Gaza, the international community has not condemned the inhumane actions of the brutal and aggressive Zionist regime. With the banging of drums supporting the oppressors, the oppressed and defenceless people of Palestine are introduced as the principle causes of the war.

The Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom congratulates the resistance of the heroic people of Palestine. We stress upon the legal and moral responsibility of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the religious, political, and social personalities of the international community, especially of the Islamic world, to note the depth of the Israeli crimes.

The mere condemnation by individual countries and international organizations, including the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation are not sufficient. Rather, we must take collective action because of the clear violations to the stipulations of international law and human rights and bring the criminals to trial and persecution at the International Criminal Court immediately.

The Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom announces that its sympathies are with the oppressed Palestinian people and it invites all Muslims to unite to defend the oppressed Palestinian nation and to strive to destroy this despicable regime.

“…and they who act unjustly shall know to what final place of turning they shall turn back.” [The Holy Quran: 26:227]

May the peace, mercy and blessings of God be upon you,
