Flower Decorating of the Razavi Holy Shrine in Dahe-ye Karamat with 60 Thousand Flowers
The Director of General Services’ Office of the Razavi Holy Shrine said, “Coincident with Razavi Dahe-ye Karamat, more than 60 thousand flowers are used to decorate the sacred premises.”
Stating this, Muhammad Reza Sabzali said, “Most of the flowers used are provided by the flower and plant producers across the country and some of them are bought from the Gardens’ Institute of Astan Quds Razavi.”
He added, “In the current year the great flower carpet plan will be implemented in 600 sq.m and using more than 20 thousand flowers in the Razavi Jame’ courtyard by the blessings of Imam Reza (A.S.) and the phrase «یا شمس الشموس» will be drawn by flower on this great flower carpet.”
He stated, “Regarding the development of green space and for more freshness of the atmosphere, 300 thousand of different flowers including seasonal, permanent and apartment flowers are used for decorating the Razavi sacred premises.”
Stating that on the average 180 thousand flowers are used to decorate the holy shrine of Imam Reza (A.S.) and the sacred premises in each year, Sabzali reiterated, “50 thousands of these flowers are used in Dahe-ye Karamat.”
It is worth mentioning that about 200 thousand man-hour activities are performed regarding flower decorating of the sacred premises.
