Bank employee martyred at his own doorstep

PESHAWAR: Unidentified motorcyclists shot a bank employee dead at his house in Hayatabad, on late Thursday night.

According to the police, 55-year-old Syed Ali Raza Zaidi was at home when the attackers knocked on the door. As soon as Raza opened the door, the assailants opened indiscriminate fire and escaped.

The victim was rushed to Hayatabad Medical Complex where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.

Police speculated the murder could be sectarian-based because Raza was Shia.

On September 17, Ali Haider, an employee of Central Prison Peshawar was shot dead in Sarki, near Shah Qabool police station. He also belonged to the Shia sect. The police had considered the incident an act of sectarian violence.

Another Shia Muslim killed in Khairpur

A Shia Muslim Deedar Ali Mughal s/o Basheer Ali has been shot martyred by terrorists of Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) in Khairpur district of Sindh province in Pakistan.

Takfiri terrorists of ASWJ opened bullets on martyr Deedar Ali in Thala Ali Raza Shah neighbor of Khairpur city.

ASWJ is also known as banned outfit Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan (SSP).

Shiite Muslims have staged a funeral protest at Punjgola Chowk area against the targeted killing of martyr Deedar Ali.
